13 Reason's I know I exist: Edition 19

Thirteen Things about Aline de Chevigny

I read an article in the Southern Review the other day stating that Aline de Chevigny was a Pen name that belonged to someone else. Well heck, last time I checked, I was Me and not some figment of another author's imagination LOL. Although if I am a figment, can I please request a little good luck for a change. I mean I know author's like to torture their Heroine's. It make a better read, bur seriously, I think I've been tortured enough and every Heroine in Romance get's an HEA.
Below you will find my top 13 reasons I know I exist, despite what that reporter says!

1- I had that sort of childhood, you know the one where you're forced to grow up too fast. A twelve year old just should not be in charge of an eight year old for days on end.

2- You try growing up with a name Nobody could properly pronounce, let alone spell.

3- I get serenaded with the song Aline by Christophe at every New Year's Eve party I go to when people learn my name, and sometimes just cause they feel like it. Believe it or not, most people can't sing LOL

4- I've been to more than my fair share of funerals for family members who never reached 40, let alone 65.

5- My sister once bit my nose so hard I needed 4 stitches.

6- I've learnt that it is possible to break your elbow 4 times in 1 year.

7- Puppy's really are as soft as soft as they appear, and as lovable. They’re always happy to see you.

8- I know that when learning to swim, being thrown off the end of the dock into the deep water and told to get back to the shore is not trust inspiring.

9- I know that changing schools every 2 years, does not make it easier to meet new friends the next time you move. It does raise your odds of running into another kid whose parents couldn’t stay put LOL

10- I have 4 nephews and 1 niece who adore me and think I’m the coolest. (You can’t make things like that up.)

11- I know that -40 degrees Celsius is damn cold and not weather you want to be out in for long. So given that knowledge, working a 12 hour days, for 15 days straight is both emotionally and physically exhausting. Working those kinds of hours out in -20 degree Celsius weather is doubly so, I’m afraid to find out what it’s like in colder weather.

12- I’ve learnt that if you’re going to play a practical joke on your uncles, you better make damn sure you plan your escape route. They may be old, but they can still run fast LOL

13- If I weren’t real I would be a size 2 and covered in men. Damn straight I would!

So what do you think? Do I exist, or is the reporter right and I'm a figment of some genius writer's imagination? Cause she’d have to be a genius to have put me through some of the things I’ve done over the years, that she writes for the Soaps. Day's of Aline's Life! Hey I'd watch that LOL.

((warm hugs)) to you. It sounds like you had a rough go of it through your childhood. You are not alone. It made us the people we are today, and that's not so bad, is it?
Happy Turkey Day!

I think you're real, but what do I know? My Thirteens are all about fake people!

Real or not, you're pretty cool, Aline. Don't change, even to be a size 2 and covered in men!

I really laughed at that! My uncles are here for a few days and I can't wait to see them. Wonderful TT, Aline - you're real and we're loving it.

Size 2? It's a worthy dream, true. But you're a cool aunt, and I think that's even better. Thanks for visiting my TT.

I agree, no child should have to raise their sibling - regardless of age. Nice list.

Happy TT!

I don't know the song Aline so if we ever met I wouldn't sing it to you. Happy TT.

I'm sorry Aline, that does not prove you exist. It proves that some incredibly rich, gorgeous man is due to sweep you off your feet and love you forever. Just kidding! Great post. Love ya!

I sure believe you that most people can't sing. Where the problem comes in is that they don't know they can't sing. LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Imaginary people never get bitten on the nose. It's a law, or something.

Happy TT :)

I am involved in four TTs this week:

I love this list. It's clear to me you exist!

Still squirming a bit over the nose bite. I can't even imagine how much that must have hurt.
